Sancy AI should work for every student. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. We have not had an independent audit yet, so this page says what we have built in and where we know we fall short.
What is built in
- You can use the website and app with a keyboard, with visible focus, and dialogs trap focus and close with Escape.
- Text and controls are tested for contrast in both the light and the black theme, and controls are at least 44 pixels where they are tapped.
- Motion respects your device's reduce-motion setting.
- Pages scale with your text size, and the layout works from small phones to wide screens.
- Charts have a table version, and status messages are announced to screen readers.
Known gaps
- The whiteboard is drawn with a pointer or finger. You can always answer by typing or speaking instead, but drawing itself is not keyboard operable yet.
- The tutor's replies appear as they stream in, which some screen readers read in pieces.
- Talk mode needs a microphone and a connection to our speech service, and may not suit every voice or accent. Typing always works.
- Material you upload, such as scanned slides, can only be read as well as the scan allows.
